Minimum Wages Act, 1948: This act regulates the fixation and revision of minimum wages for various categories of workers.
Payment of Wages Act, 1936: It governs the timely payment of wages to employees and prevents unauthorized deductions from their wages.
Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952: This act mandates the establishment of provident fund accounts for employees and their employers, ensuring financial security for workers after retirement.
Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948: ESIC provides social security through a self-financing and healthcare insurance scheme for employees and their dependents.
Industrial Disputes Act, 1947: It regulates industrial relations, including the resolution of disputes between employers and employees, layoffs, and retrenchment.
Trade Unions Act, 1926: This act governs the formation, registration, and functioning of trade unions in India.
Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970: It regulates the employment of contract labor, ensuring they receive benefits similar to regular employees.
Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986: This act prohibits the employment of children in hazardous occupations and regulates their working conditions in non-hazardous occupations.
Equal Remuneration Act, 1976: It mandates equal pay for equal work for men and women.
Maternity Benefit Act, 1961: This act provides maternity benefits to female employees, including paid maternity leave and medical benefits.
Payment of Bonus Act, 1965: It regulates the payment of bonuses to employees.
Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972: This act provides for the payment of gratuity to employees upon their retirement or resignation.
Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013: It aims to prevent and address sexual harassment at the workplace.
Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020: This code combines multiple labor laws into one and covers issues related to working conditions, occupational safety, and health of workers.
